Yasmin K. Morton, Esq.
Attorney Morton is a highly driven attorney who is licensed to practice law in the states of North Carolina and Georgia. A Raleigh native and graduate of Wake Forest University School of Law, Attorney Morton is passionate about helping her clients navigate their way through the divorce and separation process.
As a divorcee, she is able to connect with her clients in a way that few others can. While she always ensures her clients know the legal implications of their actions, she also discusses the "real life" effects of those actions. Understanding that the two may not always align, Attorney Morton puts it all on the table so that her clients can make the best decisions for their families.
Those who know Attorney Morton professionally and personally say that she accomplishes everything she sets her mind to. That personality trait propelled her to the role of an editor of Wake Forest University School of Law's Intellectual Property Law Journal, Legal Research and Writing Teaching Assistant, member of the Frederick Douglass Moot Court Team, and Secretary and Treasurer of the Honor Council. Eighteen years later, that same drive helps her to think outside of the box while crafting resolutions and solutions to complex family law issues.
Prior to attending Wake Forest University School of Law, Attorney Morton attended Western Carolina University where she graduated, with honors, from the Honor's College, earning a BSBA in Business Administration and Law. While at Western, Attorney Morton was an inaugural member of the Women's Soccer Team and held numerous leadership positions in campus organizations.
Today, her go-getter personality has moved her up the ranks in the many organizations she belongs to. When not practicing law, Attorney Morton serves on the Board of Directors for Passage Home, Inc., whose mission is to "break the cycle of poverty and create generational self-sufficiency for the individuals and families of Wake County by helping them achieve housing and income security." She spends countless hours volunteering with her sorority, where she serves as Immediate Past President of the local chapter and in other leadership capacities on the regional and national levels. In 2022, Attorney Morton was elected to serve as the Chair of the International Grievance Committee for Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.
Since opening her firm in 2010, Attorney Morton has represented her Family Law clients in many counties throughout the State. Never the one to settle for mediocrity, Attorney Morton has honed her skills by becoming a Certified Parenting Coordinator as well as a North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission Family Financial Mediator. Few attorneys in the area hold both designations.
Above all, though, Attorney Morton LOVES being a mother and spending quality time with family.

Meadow Azaz
Meadow is originally from Long Island, New York, and recently relocated to Apex, North Carolina. She graduated summa cum laude from Stony Brook University with a double major in Political Science and Sociology.
Prior to joining The Morton Law Offices, PLLC, Meadow spent two years working for a firm in New York.
Meadow takes pride in being someone her friends and loved ones can turn to for compassion and understanding. She is drawn to family law because she values the opportunity to offer that same sense of support to individuals and families as they navigate challenging circumstances.
Outside of work, she enjoys exploring North Carolina, taking nature walks, listening to music, and spending time on creative and crafty projects. She also enjoys spending time with her cat, Marty.
Anlin Thachil
Anlin is passionate about supporting families navigating some of life's most difficult transitions. As a recent graduate from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Political Science and Sociology of Law, Criminology, and Justice, Anlin brings a genuine commitment to public interest work to the firm.
Before joining the team, Anlin gained insight into the real impact of legal proceedings through court monitoring work with the Advocates for Human Rights and an internship with the Victim Services Division of the Hennepin County Attorney's Office. Those experiences reinforced her belief in the importance of informed, compassionate representation and sparked her interest in family law practice.
Anlin is currently preparing for law school and looks forward to building a career in public interest law. In the meantime, she's focused on learning the practice and supporting clients and the attorney at every step of the process.
When not at the firm, Anlin enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with her dog, Kaju.
