Yasmin K. Morton, Esq.

Attorney Morton is a highly qualified attorney licensed in the states of North Carolina and Georgia.  A Raleigh native and graduate of Wake Forest University School of Law, Attorney Morton is passionate about helping her clients navigate their way through the legal process.  While in law school at Wake Forest  University, Attorney Morton was an editor of the Intellectual Property Law Journal, a Legal Research and Writing Teaching Assistant, a member of the Frederick Douglass Moot Court Team, and the Secretary and Treasurer of the Honor Council.  

Prior to attending Wake Forest University School of Law, Attorney Morton attended Western Carolina University where she graduated, with honors, from the Honor's College, earning a BSBA in Business Administration and Law.  While at Western, Attorney Morton was an inaugural member of the Women's Soccer Team and held numerous leadership positions in campus organizations.   

Since opening her firm in 2010, Attorney Morton has represented her Family Law clients in Wake, Durham, Franklin, Johnston, Cumberland, Harnett, Lee, Nash, Hoke, Robeson, and Moore counties.  Having started her legal career in Fayetteville, NC, Attorney Morton has experience working with military families.  She also understands the local rules and procedures of each county across the State.

Professionally, Attorney Morton is a member of the NC Association of Women Attorneys and Wake Women Attorneys.  She also serves on the Board of Miller Motte's Paralegal Advisory Committee.

In addition, Attorney Morton serves on the Board of Passage Home and has served as a Co-Captain of the Junior League of Raleigh's SAFEChild (Stop Abuse For Every Child) Team since 2016.  She also volunteers countless hours with her sorority, where she serves as the First Vice President of the local chapter and Chief Legal Counsel for the Region.  Most importantly, though, she loves spending time with her child and volunteering with the PTO.
